A Quick Note to Readers and Fellow Photographers:

I put a lot of time, energy, and care into crafting each timeline specifically for my clients to make sure every detail reflects their unique vision. These timelines are created with the intention of creating a seamless, personalized experience for each couple.

Please understand that I ask others not to directly take or replicate these timelines, as they are tailored to my clients' needs and dreams. 8 hour wedding day

An 8-hour wedding day gives you ample time to relax, enjoy each moment, and still fit in everything from getting ready to your ceremony, portraits, reception, and sunset photos. This timeline provides a balanced structure, allowing for a more leisurely pace and additional time for each key part of your day.

Sample Timeline:

12:00 PM - Getting Ready (1.5 hours)

• Start your day in a relaxed atmosphere with your bridal party. Capture details of your dress, shoes, accessories, and candid moments of getting ready. This extra time allows for a more laid-back experience, so you’re not rushed.

1:30 PM - First Look & Couple Portraits (1 hour)

• A first look offers a private, emotional moment before the ceremony. Afterward, spend some time on portraits with your partner and bridal party. With 1 hour, you can take your time getting the perfect shots without feeling hurried.

2:30 PM - Travel to Ceremony Location (15 minutes)

• If your ceremony location is a short distance from where you're getting ready, this travel time will be quick and smooth.

2:45 PM - Ceremony (30 minutes)

• The ceremony should be intimate and meaningful. Allow time for any special moments, such as readings, personal vows, or rituals. This part of the day is often brief but very special!

3:15 PM - Family and Group Photos (30 minutes)

• After the ceremony, take time for family portraits and any large group shots. With 30 minutes, you can organize everyone quickly while still capturing all the important people in your life.

3:45 PM - Cocktail Hour / Guest Interaction (45 minutes)

• Let guests enjoy cocktails and appetizers while you take a short break and relax. Use this time for any additional couple or bridal party portraits if needed. You’ll also want to soak in the moment and enjoy being newlyweds.

4:30 PM - Reception Entrance and Toasts (45 minutes)

• Your grand entrance as newlyweds, followed by speeches and toasts. This is a great time to capture some lively moments with your guests and your wedding party.

5:15 PM - Dinner & Cake Cutting (1 hour)

• Dinner is served! Capture candid moments of your guests enjoying the meal, along with the cake-cutting ceremony. You can also fit in some casual mingling here while taking a break from posed photos.

6:15 PM - Sunset Photos (45 minutes)

• The golden hour is a magical time for photos, so make sure to plan for sunset portraits. This is a perfect moment to step away from the reception for some intimate couple shots in soft, flattering light.

7:00 PM - Dancing & Party Time (Remaining time)

• The fun begins with your first dance, followed by parent dances, and eventually, the entire guest list on the dance floor. Your photographer will capture the joy, laughter, and energy of your celebration as the night unfolds!

For adventurous couples who choose a full-day elopement in the mountains, the timeline is a little more flexible, but the focus will be on capturing the beauty of the location and the intimacy of the day. A full day gives you time to explore multiple locations, enjoy nature, and still get all the stunning photos you want.

Sample Timeline:

8:00 AM - Getting Ready (1 hour)

• Start your day with a relaxed getting-ready session in a cozy location, like a mountain cabin or a nearby hotel with beautiful views. This is your time to capture the details—dress, rings, accessories—and the excitement as you prepare for your adventure.

9:00 AM - Travel to Ceremony Location (30 minutes)

• Travel to your ceremony location. Whether you’re hiking or driving to a remote spot, this is a perfect time for your photographer (ME) to catch candid moments of your journey. If hiking, the photos can be just as special as the ceremony!

9:30 AM - First Look & Couple Portraits (1 hour)

• A first look is a beautiful way to see each other before the ceremony in a private, intimate moment. Afterward, enjoy a portrait session in the breathtaking surroundings.

10:30 AM - Ceremony (30 minutes)

• The ceremony will be simple, personal, and incredibly meaningful in a secluded, stunning mountain setting. Take your time exchanging vows and celebrating this intimate moment.

11:00 AM - Adventure Session / Exploring (1 hour)

• After the ceremony, explore the area! Whether you’re climbing to a higher peak or wandering through a forest, enjoy a beautiful adventure session. Your photographer will capture you both in nature—candid moments that perfectly match the elopement vibe.

12:00 PM - Picnic Lunch or Relaxing (1 hour)

• Take a break to enjoy a peaceful, scenic lunch together. You can relax with a picnic, enjoy your surroundings, and have fun capturing this quiet moment.

1:00 PM - More Exploring / Additional Photos (1 hour)

• Continue your exploration of the mountains, whether it’s hiking, exploring different vantage points, or discovering hidden spots. This is also a great time for your photographer to capture the changing landscapes, from rocky cliffs to wildflower meadows.

2:00 PM - Sunset Photos (1 hour)

• The golden hour in the mountains is something magical. You’ll have time to capture stunning photos with dramatic backdrops, taking full advantage of the breathtaking views and soft lighting as the day winds down.

3:00 PM - Dinner / Celebration (1 hour)

• End your day with a small celebratory dinner, whether it’s a special treat or a warm meal in your cabin. Enjoy some quiet time as a couple, soaking in the beauty of the day and your new life together.
